What ndis providers need from their marketing

Choosing a disability support provider is a personal decision, often made with family members, support coordinators or plan managers. People want to know exactly which supports you provide, where you operate, whether you have capacity, how you work with participants and how to start a conversation. Many NDIS provider websites leave those questions unanswered or bury them in jargon.

Your marketing also has two audiences: participants and their networks, and the professionals who refer to you. Both need clear, accurate information presented accessibly, so that people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or plain-language preferences can use your site as easily as anyone else.

Common challenges we solve

Unclear service information

Generic pages such as “we provide quality support” do not tell a coordinator whether you offer community participation in their area this month.

Inaccessible websites

Low-contrast text, image-only information and forms that do not work with assistive technology exclude the people you exist to support.

Referral friction

Coordinators need a fast, professional way to send a referral without sharing unnecessary personal information by email.

Recruitment pressure

Growth is often limited by staff availability as much as by participant demand.

Campaign ideas

Practical campaign examples

Illustrative campaign concepts, not case studies. Every plan is tailored to your goals, location and budget.

IDEA 01

Support coordinator outreach kit

A one-page capability summary, a referral form link and a short email template that coordinators can save and share.

IDEA 02

New service-area launch

A location page, Google Business Profile update and community information flyers when you expand into a new region.

IDEA 03

Support worker recruitment drive

A careers landing page with role details, a simple application form and targeted social media advertising.

Digital and physical opportunities

Website & digital technology opportunities

Capacity and vacancy updates. Simple ways to show current availability for SIL, STA or specific programmes without promising what you cannot deliver.

Accessible documents. Service guides published as accessible web pages rather than image-only PDFs.

Secure intake. Where detailed intake is needed, we recommend a dedicated secure system rather than ordinary marketing forms.

Available worldwide

Industry considerations & regulations

General information only, not legal or compliance advice. Requirements vary by country and change over time, so confirm details with the relevant regulator or your advisers.

Registration claims. Only describe your business as an NDIS registered provider if you hold current registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Marketing support from Fortlex Media does not make a provider registered, accredited or compliant, and we do not offer compliance certification.
Respectful language. We use person-centred, respectful language and avoid portraying participants as objects of pity or inspiration. Imagery is chosen carefully and never implies stock models are your participants.
Privacy. Disability and health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988. Marketing forms should not ask for diagnoses, plan details or NDIS numbers.
Advertising accuracy. Claims about outcomes, availability and pricing must be accurate under the Australian Consumer Law and consistent with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
FAQ

NDIS Providers marketing FAQs

Can you make our website accessible?
Yes. We design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA guidance, test with keyboard navigation and screen-reader checks, and write in plain English. Accessibility is ongoing, so we also show your team how to keep new content accessible.
Should our enquiry form ask for NDIS numbers or plan details?
We recommend not. A first enquiry form should collect only contact details and a general description of what support is being sought. Detailed intake should happen through a secure process after first contact.
Is Fortlex Media an NDIS provider?
No. We are a marketing and web development agency. We do not provide disability supports, NDIS registration or compliance certification.
Do you help with recruitment marketing?
Yes. Careers pages, job ad creative and recruitment campaigns are common requests from NDIS providers.
